Summer wanted to work on her tan, something that was difficult to do in San Francisco. So she thought returning to Newport for a few days was a good idea. At least she thought this until she walked into her room. She was so started by what she saw that she let out a yelp.

"What's wrong, what's going on?!" Taylor shouted, barreling into her room with what looked like a gun.

"Omigod, you have a gun in my house?!"

"Summer?" Taylor blinked. "Wasn't expecting you. And don't worry, it's just a flare gun."

"Why would you...never mind," Summer said, shaking her head. Because honestly, Taylor owning a flare gun was very...Taylor. "Why is there a giant cardboard cutout of some cartoon character in my room?"

"Comic book character," Taylor corrected. "That's Little Miss Vixen from Atomic County. I got it at Comic Con for you. And an action figure."

"Atomic County? Isn't that the comic Cohen created that, like, failed spectacularly." And why did she remember that?

Taylor shrugged. "It's got a small cult following. And, I don't know, it's cute, don't you think?"

"She looks trashy," Summer replied, making a face.

Taylor raised an eyebrow, and it seemed like she wanted to say something. Summer wasn't quite sure why her friend opted to remain speechless, but she was going to enjoy the silence while it lasted.

[I had to!]

Though Summer was very happy living at the Halliwell Manor in future San Francisco, it was also good for her to return to her roots every now and then. That, and Taylor sort of begged her to visit for the weekend. Apparently Taylor missed her a lot. Summer did not doubt that was true, though she also believed Taylor was having another crisis and needed some advice.

It was also a good excuse for Taylor and Chris to hang out a little. Summer really wanted them to get along. It was just a shame Julie and Kaitlin, who were still living in the Roberts' mansion, had to go to Riverside for some family thing. Summer could almost hear Kaitlin complaining about it.

It was good to be home. Summer even missed Taylor's rambling. She'd probably change her mind in a few hours.

[establishy!]

Summer was once again enjoying a morning of sunning on the beach. Once again, she was greeted by an unexpected visitor in her room when she got back.

Wherein Summer meets something of sentimental value. )

[ooc: Establishy, but open for phone calls and such! Really could not resist using this PB!]

It was a beautiful day in Orange County, perfect for a high school graduation.

In which Summer is excited for her friends... )

[For the boyfriend, mostly, but phone calls and such are welcome, too!]
snarkyprincess: (Marissa)
Summer's Fourth of July was spent with her Newport friends on the beach watching fireworks and hanging out. A year ago, she wouldn't have even noticed Seth Cohen. This year, she was hanging out with him and Ryan and Marissa. And she actually had a good time. She was also glad to see Marissa and Ryan over the whole on again off again thing as that was really annoying. Last night, they seemed to be happy.

But that would soon change... )

[ooc: warning for depressing subject matter behind the cut; if any of you are familiar with the S3 finale, you know what to expect. Otherwise, beware of spoilers. NFB due to distance. Not for interaction, though ooc comments are always welcome.]
