Room 306, Saturday
Jul. 5th, 2008 03:42 pmSummer knew there were reasons to celebrate lately. Yesterday was the Fourth of July and today new students were arriving. All things to be happy about. Though Summer couldn't find a reason to be celebratory about anything, not when yesterday was such a terrible anniversary.
She'd pretty much just stayed in her room hiding from everything. She considered calling Julie Cooper just to see if she was holding up okay after a year. Summer just wasn't good with the whole getting her feelings out thing, though. Funny, considering the conversation she had with Savannah the other day.
She ended up not calling for that reason. Today, however, it was as though her cellphone were taunting her just sitting there on the table beside her bed. After a moment of staring at it, she dialed a number.
"Hi Julie," she said the the woman on the other end. "It's Summer...just wanted to see how you're doing..."
In the end, she was glad to have made that phone call. They both probably needed to talk about it. Summer actually felt a little better.
