Room 306, Monday

Summer was kind of exhausted today because Lou decided to spend most of yesterday on the mainland shopping for deli meats and cheeses. That was not exactly the kind of shopping Summer was used to. Her shopping sprees usually ended with multiple pairs of shoes and purses added to her collection. It usually didn't end with all sorts of deli meats in the mini fridge.

Looks like she and Chris would be eating a lot of sandwiches in the next few days. At least there was some extra lettuce for Pancakes. This place never got any less strange.

Chris woke up and glanced over at the other bed. He had kept an eye on Lou throughout the weekend and was glad that she trusted him enough to stay in 306.

"Summer?"

Summer looked over at Chris. "Yeah, it's me. Not the weird sandwich girl."

"Oh, good," Chris said, climing out of his bed and crossing over to join her. "I mean, she could make coffee, but I like you better."

Summer snuggled against him. "Awww, you like me more than someone who can make coffee. That's real devotion."

"What can I say, I'm a sucker," Chris teased, holding her close. "And at least making sandwiches isn't horribly embarrassing."

"No, definitely not," Summer agreed. "I'm so glad 'Lou' decided not to go home to LA to find that Chuck guy she seemed to like."

"You think I would have let her run off by herself to some other guy?" Chris asked.

"No, I don't. Which I appreciate so much," Summer told him.

Chris smiled. "She thought I was crazy, but she did trust me on some level, which worked out well."

"That's because you're a good guy, Chris," Summer said. "Even strangers can figure that out."

"Yeah, well, if I had woken up with bad facial hair, it would have been a very different weekend," Chris pointed out.

"This is very true," Summer snickered. "I guess it was my turn to be affected by this brand of Fandom weirdness."

"And you weren't hit by it as bad as I was," Chris said.

"I think I prefer us to be ourselves," Summer said.

"So do I," Chris agreed. "And as long as we are ourselves, how do you feel about going to the dance with me on Friday?"

"I would love to go with you," Summer grinned. "This will be the first time we're going to a Valentine's Day dance together."

"Really? Wow, we were huge idiots, weren't we?"

Summer smiled. "Hey. At least we finally did figure it out, right?"

"Seriously," Chris agreed, leaning over to kiss her.

Summer definitely appreciated the kiss. "Love you."

"Love you too," Chris said. "I missed you this weekend."

"Well, I'm back now so you don't have to miss me anymore," Summer said, smiling.

"Sooooo, you wanna stay in bed all day and watch movies?"

"That sounds like a good plan." She smirked. "And there are so many other options, too."
