Room 306, Monday Evening

Summer was moping just a little. She didn't want to face Chris after everything, at least not right away. Yet, here she was in the dorm room they shared. She was sitting on her bed, anticipating his return eventually. There was a bunny in her arms that she was cuddling. It made things a little less stressful.

She figured they'd get through this, but there was a small part of her that feared they couldn't.

Summer suddenly wasn't quite sure what to say, mostly because she was so embarrassed. She did manage to look at him, though. "Hey."

Chris met her eyes for a moment and then looked away, sitting heavily on his bed. "So... um... I don't know if sorry even begins to cover what happened."

"I know it wasn't our faults, but I am sorry," Summer said quietly. "You know I love you, right? Just you."

"I know," Chris said. "I love you, too. And, you know, there is a certain irony in the fact that we still loved each other this weekend and just... couldn't be together."

Summer smiled at that. "I guess that does mean something."

Chris got up and walked over to sit next to her, hugging her carefully so he didn't smush Pancakes.

"Wyatt's not going to kill me," he said.

Summer clung tightly to him. "If he did that, he'd kind of be a hypocrite."

"Can we agree not to share any details about this weekend?" Chris asked.

"Yes, yes we can. I really don't want to know," Summer said.

"Good, neither do I," Chris said. "How about I grab a shower and we order in some Chinese? We can curl up and watch a movie."

"I'd like that," Summer nodded. "We're gonna be okay, right?"

"I want us to be," Chris said. "If anything, this weekend proved to me how much I love you."

"Awwww," Summer said happily, hugging him again. "I love you, too."
