The Arms Hotel, Room 714, Monday Morning

Just as they had planned, Summer and Chris spent a good portion of yesterday shopping in France. Actually, Summer did most of the shopping and dragged Chris with her into stores. There was just no way she could be in France and not shop there. Then there was was a nice dinner at a cafe.

They never did make it back to the cabins. The hotel seemed like a better option after the perfect day. Of course, they made good use of that hotel room, which they would not have been able to do in the cabins.

Now it was morning and Summer was happily snuggled up against Chris. She really didn't want to go to class later.

Chris was quite happy with the idea of never leaving the hotel room, even though he knew he had to go to class.

"Morning," he muttered, dropping a kiss on Summer's forehead.

"Morning," Summer replied, grinning. "Do we have to go to class?"

"Unfortunately, I think the answer to that is yes," Chris said. "Especially since I'm the TA."

"You're the TA, huh?" Summer smirked. "Does this mean I get special treatment?"

"Hmmmm, maybe," Chris said, waggling his eyebrows. "Depends on if you deserve it."

"Oh, I think I definitely deserve it," Summer grinned.

Chris leaned over and kissed her. "I love you," he said.

"I love you, too," Summer said happily. She meant it.

"I can't believe it took us so long to figure it out," Chris said.

"I think maybe we knew for awhile," Summer said. "At least I think I did."

"Really? I guess I figured it out a while ago too," Chris admitted.

"Getting into a catfight with Savannah might have been my first clue," Summer snickered.

Chris blinked. "That long ago?"

"I must have gotten that upset for a reason," Summer shrugged.

"Wow," Chris said. "I started figuring things out a couple months ago. Probably right around the time Lana and I split up."

Summer smiled. "I'm just glad we finally did."
