Summer Roberts

"Are you going to ignore me all night?" Chris asked, taking another bag of popcorn from the microwave. He looked over at his roommate as he opened it and the escaping steam nearly burned his hands. "Damnit," he swore, fumbling the bag and almost dropping it before finally getting himself straight.

"I really need your support tonight," he continued. "If I can be nice to Johnny, you can be nice to Savannah, right?"

Summer might have laughed a little when Chris burned himself. Just a little.

Then she gave him a small smile. "I can try, okay?"

From:

Chris smiled back. "That's what makes you the best roommate ever," he said. "Even if you laughed at me when I burned myself."

From:

"And don't you forget it," Summer added, grinning.

From:

"As if you'd let me," Chris teased.

From:

"Of course not," Summer replied, tossing popcorn at him.

From:

Chris laughed and threw some popcorn back at her. "Just don't forget who makes the coffee around here."

"Ha ha," Summer said, shaking her head.

From:

That would be when there was a knock on the door. "Be nice, please?" Chris asked before he headed over.

From:

Trying not to sigh too dramatically, Johnny held to Savannah's hand and raised his other to the door, rasping his knuckles across it. "I'm going to behave. I promise. No worries, sweetheart," he said and bent to kiss Savanna's cheek, waiting for the occupants within to open the door.

"I believe you, Johnny. I want all of us to be able to have a nice time tonight." She also knew that he knew she would have quite a temper tantrum if anything bad happened tonight.

Now hopefully Summer had made the same promise to Chris.

Chris opened the door and smiled. "Hey Savannah. Johnny." His smile didn't even droop a little when he greeted Johnny. "Glad you guys could make it. Come on in."

"Hey," Summer greeted, trying to keep her voice neutral.

From:

"Hey Chris," Johnny smiled then averted his gaze to Summer. "Hey." He squeezed Savannah's fingers lightly as they walked on in.

"I smell popcorn."

From:

"Hi Chris. Hey Summer. Thanks for inviting us over."

From:

"Not like I had a choice..." Summer muttered, mentally facepalming. That was not supposed to be said out loud. "But it's cool. We've got popcorn and movies. All good."

Johnny cocked a brow at Summer; so he wasn't the only one feeling on the outs and outs here, uh? Intersting.

"Popcorn sounds great, doesn't it Savannah?"

Savannah swallowed, biting the inside of her lip. "Sounds terrific. What are we watching, Summer?"

From:

Summer reached for the DVD, showing it to everyone. "Titanic."

Because this whole situation was so totally going to be a disaster.

Johnny raised his arms, grinning wide, "I'm the king of the world!" What? He could be funny.

Savannah grinned. "I think that's a great choice."

Hopefully none of them would go down tonight.

Chris facepalmed.

"Savannah, don't get any ideas for your art though, okay."

Err... that might not have been the best thing for him to say.

Summer tried not to smirk. Really.

From:

Johnny raised his brows. "Okay then, let's get this party started. Beer? Or was this bring your own night?" He looked around at everyone. "Okay then. No beer? Yeah... all right. I'll take some popcorn. Savannah, who won't be getting artsy tonight, would you like some popcorn sweetheart?"

Savannah was kind of blinking about the art thing... but Chris had already given her ideas just by saying that.

"I left my sketchbook back in the room." She meant that to be reassuring. "Popcorn? No, thank you. I'm okay."

Chris was so not making eye contact with anyone. "You guys want some soda or water or something?" he offered. "Sorry, we don't have any beer."

From:

"I'll have a diet coke," Summer said, grabbing some popcorn from the bowl.

From:

"Coke for me," Johnny said, eyeing Chris then Savannah, then Chris again. What was with the no eye contact thing?

From:

Savannah looked at Summer and then at Chris. "Diet coke, please?" She gave Johnny a confused look when she saw him eyeing Chris.

From:

Chris walked over to the fridge and got the drinks, which he handed out. "So... um... I guess we could all sit down and start the movie."

He glanced at his bed and at Summer's bed and at the two desk chairs. Seating could get a little awkward.

Summer took a seat on her bed. If things were going to be awkward, she might as well be comfortable.

From:

"Thanks, Chris," Johnny said in reply to the Coke, then without much asking, he settled himself on the bed near Summer.

Savannah wasn't happy about him sitting so near Summer and sat on the other bed. She gave him a meaningful look.

Chris was confused, but he went and sat next to Savannah. As long as Summer and Johnny weren't planning to hurt him and Savannah, it should be okay, right?

Summer blinked. Something wasn't right here.

From:

Johnny was pretty much happy-go-lucky until he realized what he had done. He shot up off the bed. "Oh, man, sorry, thought we were all just going to do the bed pile thing. My bad." He walked over to Chris' bed and sat down, wedging himself between his girlfriend and the guy he wasn't sure if he liked yet or not.

Savannah blinked at made room for Johnny giving him a small smile. "I thought you were tossing me aside for Summer," she said with a soft teasing voice.

She wanted all four of them to get along well... but not like that!

Kinky sex games were definitely not on Chris's agenda. He stood up and walked over to sit next to Summer. "Plenty of room for all of us," he said, grabbing the remote on his way. Once they started the movie, it would be a lot better. Then they wouldn't have to talk, right?

Summer was all for not talking. She was also very glad that this was a long movie.

"Ah, baby, I love you," Johnny murmured to Savannah, leaning over to kiss her softly. Then he leaned back on the bed, getting comfy, attempting to pull her with him.

Not talking was good. But Johnny would rather be in his room, making out with his girl. Maaaaaan!

"Love you, too," she said softly.

Savannah got comfortable, leaning against him like he was a pillow. She would tell him thank you again later. She was happy he was here and making an attempt to get along with Chris.

"Is this something that you've seen, Summer? Is it pretty good?"

Yes, she was trying to make friendly small talk with Summer.

Chris pursed his lips so he wouldn't glare at Savannah and Johnny getting all cozy on his bed.

And, hey, at least Savannah was trying to get along with Summer, he could do the same.

Summer glanced over at Savannah. "Yeah, I love this movie."

Then she smiled at Chris. Hey, she was doing this for him after all.

Johnny knew this was Chris' bed. He kicked his shoes off and snuggled down against Savannah. "This movie is long," he commented for no reason whatsoever.

Savannah wasn't doing as much cuddling back because she knew this was Chris' bed and she would feel awful for... well, being coupley with Johnny on his bed. Her mother had taught her better than... okay, Paige had taught her better than that.

She was having a hard time keeping her eyes open. She liked the movie, but the past week had been draining on her.

"But it's such a romantic movie," Savannah disagreed. "Romance is nice."

The ship wasn't sinking yet.

"I like the stuff at the beginning," Chris said. "When they're dredging up the wreckage."

He stifled a yawn. Hey, he was still recovering from being sick.
