Room 306, Wednesday Evening

Summer returned to her room after her class and some errands in town. Drinking coffee at the Perk and stopping by JGOB for baked goods counted as errands, right?

She didn't notice anything weird right away because she was way more interested in the cookies she brought back with her. But once she was finished with those, she noticed that her closet was ajar. She could have sworn she closed that. She went over to inspect, hoping there wasn't a gremlin or something in there. What she found was far more horrifying. Some of her clothes were ruined! Some beyond repair, including her favorite sweater.

She was very relieved that Pancakes was still in his cage and was not harmed in any way. She could at least concentrate on getting her rage on. When she found out who did this, there would be hell to pay. Oh yes.

Chris had gone into town to grab a handwavy burger at Luke's after his Hunting final. He'd done a little studying for his last final and then headed home.

He stopped in the doorway and wondered if coming home was such a good idea when he saw how ragey his roommate was.

"Uh, Summer? What's wrong?"

Tori was on her way back to her room when she saw that the door was open to Chris and Summer's room.

"Hey Summer." She smiled and waved from the doorway, her smile fading when she saw how Summer was reacting. "What happened?"

"This is what's wrong!" Summer cried, holding up her slashed sweater before tossing it onto the bed. "Someone ruined my clothes!"

She glared at Chris. "Did you forget to lock the door?"

Summer sighed. "I'm just wondering if I might have done something to someone to make them hate me enough to slash my clothes."

"No, I didn't forget to lock the door!" Chris insisted, walking over and picking up the sweater. "Who would do something like this?"

Tori was shocked. "Someone did that to you? That's so not cool." She shook her head in disbelief. "No, that's not possible. You're one of the nicest people I know." It was the truth. "There's nothing that warrants what's happened here."

"I don't know!" Summer exclaimed, flailing just a bit. "Someone who is going to pay!"

"Definitely," Chris agreed, practically growling. "As soon as we figure out who did this, they will definitely pay."

Summer smiled for a moment because she couldn't recall anyone ever referring to her as on the nicest people. But the smile was all frowny again when she regarded some of her ruined clothes. "I don't know why someone would be this mean."

"I'm so getting my forks ready," Summer said, though she was no longer sounding ragey. Now she sounded slightly defeated. "Did I piss someone off or something? I can't think of anything I did wrong."

"Me either." Tori was just as stumped. But when she found out who had done this? Oh yeah, they wouldn't be happy they messed with her friends.

Summer glanced at the cage on the floor. "I'm just glad Pancakes wasn't hurt."

Tori nodded, smiling when she saw Pancakes. "Yeah, I'm glad to hear that, too." She agreed. "Do you need help with anything?" She didn't what could be done but it never hurt to offer.

Chris gave her an awkward, one-armed hug. "I can't think of anyone that you would have pissed off," he said. "You're nice to everyone."

"No, but thanks for offering," Summer said sadly. "I appreciate it."

"Anytime." Tori smiled. "If you need anything, just let me know."

"I try to be," Summer said honestly. "But not so much to people who get on my bad side. Like people who slash my clothes."

"I will," Summer said with a nod. "In the meantime, I should plan my revenge."

"Normally, I'd advise against revenge." Tori admitted. "But not this time around."

"Awesome," Summer said, grinning slightly. "Glad someone supports me in this."
