Chris laughed and got up to clean the coffee pot. He filled it with water again and the got out the can of coffee. "Well, for starters, this is a lousy brand," he told her. "But we can make due. Never, ever follow the directions on the can. They always tell you to make it too strong, so you go through the coffee faster and buy more."
He started scooping coffee grounds into the filter. "There, that should do it."
