Room 306, Sunday Afternoon

Summer was currently going through her closet, deciding what to pack for a trip home. Her dad insisted she go home during the break between sessions, so she wouldn't miss any of her workshops. A week wouldn't be so bad. Besides, she did miss her dad and her Newport friends.

Of course, being Summer, she'd probably end up packing more than what was needed.

[ooc: post is open; Summer is going home tomorrow (and I have a few things planned for her) but will be back in time for workshops.]

"How's it going up here?" He asked with a grin, running his fingers through still slightly damp hair.

"It's going," Summer replied. "I'm looking forward to going home, but I'll miss you."

"And I will definitely miss you too," Shawn said, finally walking over to her. "At least it's only a week, right?"

"Yes, just a week," Summer said quietly. "A long week."

"Which is not that bad," Shawn added in an attempt to be reassuring as he went to put an arm around her. "You've got friends to see back there, and your dad and everything."

"Yeah, it'll be nice to see them," Summer replied. "By the way, my dad totally wants to meet you sometime."

"He does?" Shawn arched an eyebrow slightly. "Is this a good thing or a bad thing?"

"Good thing, definitely," Summer said, maybe a little too quickly.

Yeah, cause that didn't sound suspiciously not good, or anything...

"Better be," he said. "I trust you wouldn't throw me into any bad situations involing your Dad."

"I would never do that to you, promise," Summer said, grinning at him innocently. "You don't have to worry about that for now at least."

"One of these days, I know my mom wants to meet you," Shawn said, with an equally innocent smile in return. "I'm pretty damn certain she'd love you."

"Of course she would. Cause I'm awesome," Summer said, giving him a silly grin. "Seriously, though, I hope you're right. And I'm pretty sure my dad would like you."

Shawn nodded. "One of these days, we'll have to do that," he said. "It's been long enough, after all."

Summer nodded. "Almost a year, huh?"

"I guess it is," Shawn said after a moment of thought. "Pretty impressive, I think."

"Totally," Summer agreed. "And it's been a pretty good year...almost a year."

"Very good," Shawn agreed. "Barring troll kidnapping and psychos with axes," he aded after a moment."

"Trolls and psychos weren't so good, but you being all heroic was," Summer said with a smile.

"That's just what they get for trying to hurt you," Shawn said simply. "They should've known better, really."

"If anyone tried to hurt you, they'd have my rage issues to deal with," Summer added, leaning closer to hug him.

"Woe betide them," Shawn said with a chuckle, hugging her against him.

Summer nodded. "There could be forks involved."

"Multiple forks." Shawn nodded slightly, "Now I remember why it is I vowed never to get on your bad side."

Summer grinned. "Good choice."

"I've managed it so far, haven't I?"

"Uh huh," Summer replied, leaning in for a kiss.

Shawn beamed, using one hand to brush back her hair as he kissed her.

"Good," he murmured, pulling back a little for a moment.
